As a healthcare provider, chances are you’ve been occasionally dumbfounded when working with your young patients. So have we! To solve this problem, we decided to go right to the source. We sent a group of journalism and videography interns to interview their friends about their healthcare experiences and their interaction with healthcare providers. Using a standardized and measured approach, the interns captured candid peer impressions about what young people like, dislike, and suggest for better -- and more honest communication -- when they are discussing their health issues with professionals.
Our subject area experts reviewed these videos and applied evidence-based research to turn the information into a virtual learning experience. Each course and training on this site offers a unique insight into how young patients think and feel and, more importantly, how we can serve them better. We believe in showing, not telling, so you will notice that this site offers:
